Its probably a good basic journal app, at least in terms of recreating the kind of black book one used to carry around to write down thoughts in, but its also missing a lot of features and more than a bit strange.
It allows for "custom covers" for the journal which is great, but when you close the app, the icon is still the same red book one, so there isnt much point beyond making the tiny edge of the page black instead of red leather. It also allows you to change fonts but doesnt clearly explain that the font choices are all exclusively handwriting styles. That points to another failing which is that the description above is confusing at best, and none of the features are really explained at all. I think that whomever designed this app must be living in some kind of odd bubble.
Finally, it doesnt work with iCloud at all so all the data is forever stuck on your iPhone or iPad and wont sync at all. I mean whats the point at all if you cant sync between devices?
Boo. Hissss.
