My Daily Journal app for iPhone and iPad

This App is exactly what I wanted in a journaling tool. Easy to use and a nice clean look that lets me focus on my writing and nothing else. After years of trying and failing to keep up a regular journaling practice, My Daily Journal has made it so effortless that I find myself reaching for it sometimes more than once a day to capture my thoughts. Recommend!

Im very pleased with this app. The choice of fonts is really exceptional (great for us creative types), as is the ability to create custom categories. From a practical standpoint, being able to back up my journal to my existing DropBox account is a huge plus. My wish list? - more paper choices, please - more ink colours, please (especially darker ones like navy) - add the ability to bold, underline and italicize words/phrases (though the dictionary was a nice surprise when I went looking for these functions!) Keep up the great work -- I do love this app.

I also love this app, but I would like to be able to add an entry for a day I forgot to, like we can add to an existing entry. Would be good also to add a photo, just a small one not for background. Thanks

This app is great, but it should allow you to add pictures to your journals that are not used as background images. It would be awesome if you could incorporate images into the body of the journal.

This app is pretty amazing. It does exactly what it says it will do. Ive never felt disappointed using it. I will give some suggestions to buyers, though. You can e-mail the entries, but you cannot select specific entries to send. You must send the whole thing, so users beware! Another noteworthy point is that you can change the font style, color, etc but you cannot bold, italicize, or underline. You can change the paper for each individual journal entry -- you can even change it to a photo you have saved! But even though it says you can change the cover, it doesnt save the cover for each individual entry. If you pick the green cover, it will be green for every entry in your journal. Of course the color can be changed at any given time, though! Its easy to appreciate the search functions in the app. You can search your entire journal for a word or phrase so you dont have to tag manually if you dont like tagging. The app does also gives you the option to tag your entries. You can use pre-existing tags or create your own and search the tag in the search bar to find entries that way. Another helpful search tool is the calendar. You can type a title on the first line, then when you view the in-app calendar, you can see every day in month view. Select a day, and you will see the title of each entry for that day! The app could be improved if the user were able to change the cover for each individual entry and if it allowed you to choose a wider variety of ink colors rather than just standard ones. It could also be improved if the user could bold, italicize, and underline words. Backgrounds to the entries can be improved by providing a wider variety of presets. Lastly, I think the app would be better if you could addy picture to the entry without having to make it your background. If youre looking for an inexpensive journal, I highly recommend this app to any user who wants to be satisfied with their journal! I know I am ;)

Great App. I enjoy typing on my iPad. And the password protect is definitely the best feature. Waiting for iCloud version

Export does not work. The whole app looks like it was written in a hurry. Several bugs. Waste of money! Buy "Momento" instead.

Tested on an iPad 2 with OS5. Often hangs when trying to insert a photo. Each entry has a time stamp - why not have the possibility of having one screen per day and add a time stamp if needed? Selecting a date on the calendar for adding a new entry does not work. Instead you have to manually enter the date and time in a dialogue box. Etc, etc, etc. A pure loss of money.

Ive bought the program, because I fell in love in fonts. But I cannot write on Russian. Thus, I cannot use it as my diary :( I am more than disappointed: in description there is nothing about languages! Please, make update!

1-It is not to easy to find out just in a short look how it is work. Beside that I just read the FAQ. I find out that nothing is very easy to know right away...like for deleting an entry...add a category, find any way to do something, like to edit a date (why having more than one way to edit or going to a specific date? ) and so on... 2-In about 20 minutes of trying it, it crash about 10 times so far. It crash each time I try to delete an entry! Do I should spend hours to write my life in this app...? Can I trust it? In a future update, a + for me it will be to have a side column of the entries. It should be lot easier than have to search for an entry. And at the end I dont really know if I will use it. Ill try a little bit more, but it is not so far a friendly user application at the first look, like I thought and it should be. I wont ask for a refund because I will spend to much time to having back $1.25. But I wont try any of your existing or futures applications except may be if they have a free try version first. You seem to built and use the complicated way to find the road...

Just download it, it lets me create password and after that keyboard gone! Now I cannot open it! Whats wrong? Fix it or return my money back!

I hate this App. Although cheap it is a total waste of money.poor instructions and lots of flaws
