After discovering that I could not access any of my entries, I contacted the developer through their website. A man named James promptly responded. He kindly and patiently worked with me to try to recover my entries. He suggested downloading their "classic" app and it worked. The loss of these memories was devastating, and would have been permanent if James had not taken so much of his time to help. I dont know if he is an owner, an employee, or something in between but I am certain that any business with someone like him is a business worthy of praise and worthy of supporting.
Backed up regularly. Updated app. Months of journaling gone. Tried to backup/restore, nothing. Two different Dropbox files, one inaccessible one which had three or four DAYS of journaling. Seriously ill, disabled, the loss of this chronicle of the most difficult time in my 50 years on this earth. To think that it is all gone is heartbreaking. Absolutely heartbreaking.
